Hello Friends,

My name is Tracy Jackson, and I am the founder of iCelebrateDiversity.com. It is such a thrill to finally be presenting my dream to the world!

iCelebrateDiversity.com began November 5, 1991, the day that I was blessed with my first child. Not only was I given a larger heart, broader shoulders and an extra dose of patience, I was given a new pair of eyes to see the world in a brand new light.

That's where my story and passion begin.

I have always been a compassionate person and cared very deeply about other people. Yet, I'm not quite sure if I ever really knew the depth of my compassion until I became a mother...especially one in a multiracial family. That was the moment compassion met reality in my life.

For the first time, I became very aware of the products being sold in our toy stores, used by our child care facilities, and displayed in our churches, homes  and elementary schools. I noticed that there were so few products that included children of different ethnic backgrounds and/or diverse abilities and wondered what type of negative impact this was having on our children. This concern is not new, it's just not been a priority.

Well, it is my priority. While many families talk to their children about respecting and appreciating differences in others, they are often (without intention) insensitive to the products around them. iCelebrateDiversity.com is here to make people become more aware of the products they buy.

This site (and vision) is growing daily! We not only have wonderful products to choose from, but we have wonderful resources and articles to inspire you to help change the world!

So sit back and enjoy your experience at iCelebrateDiversity.com and, no matter how big or small, make choices today that will help make a better tomorrow!

In Faith, Hope & Love,

Tracy
