The Products
You will notice that both the web site and catalog do not have
exactly the same products. The most significant difference is that
the Advocate Catalog offers framing or mounting on approximately 100
different prints and posters! We think this is a WONDERFUL benefit
for our Advocates as artwork is our number one selling item! Many
schools purchase 10+ pieces of art at a time and adding framing
makes sales increase dramatically. We will eventually add framing
online but wanted to make this available to our Advocates first!
Additional items that we have included in the catalog are: adorable
ceramic tiles (twelve designs) with inspirational quotes that come
with a stand and two guardian angels (one brown and one white), new
stationery designs, and our exciting bi-racial doll series!
There are several items on the web site that are not included in the
Diversity Advocate Catalog--mainly handmade items or limited stock
items. We have chosen only items that will produce your highest
commission to be included in the Diversity Advocate Catalog. All
other items will remain on the web site and continue to be available
to you and your customers, simply at a reduced commission rate for
you. All items in the Advocate Catalog yield a 20% commission. The
commission rates of items NOT in the catalog range from 5-10%.
In the future we will be adding books to both the Advocate Catalog
and online. This is a very large undertaking. For years we have set
out to find the best selection of children's books that reflect
diversity, honor culture and heritage and encourage positive
self-esteem in children. Music and video will also be added around
the same time. We believe that our selection will be well received
by schools and parents alike.
The Catalog
The Product Catalog is a three-ring binder that includes page
protectors and individual color pages. This seems to be the easiest
and most cost effective way to keep a current catalog. We will send
updates as they occur and offer a downloadable online version.
Advocates can print or copy as many color catalogs needed. While the
local printers may be rather costly, you can order additional color
catalogs from us for $20 each.
